For all those who were there "live" at the Trianti Balcony, here is a photo as a reminder, for everyone else a short review:

Our long-standing board member and valued member, Mr. Florian Kellner-Fendt, presented the digital poster onsite in a professional manner. The interactive design of the "station" made it possible to highlight important points in the presentation and for interested parties to view them afterwards. The inserted QR code was often used directly to access the brand new English edition of the current brochure.
Many thanks at this point to Mr. Kellner-Fendt and all those who were involved in the preparations to make our working group better known, especially at an international level.
Focus on "Sustainability & Operations"
The topic of "sustainability" was given special attention in the latest edition. Even if we are only at the beginning here, the first steps have been taken. We would like to continue to devote more attention to this topic so that we can ultimately publish a comprehensive presentation for our area of application. We would therefore ask you to support us with suggestions, concepts or contacts to people who can make a positive contribution here.
On the initiative of the new Chairman, we are currently examining whether we should include the topic of "Operation", i.e. in particular the technical processes, e.g. the entire material flow of the cage material within a laboratory animal facility, in a separate chapter in a future issue. In addition to the technical design, findings from daily operation should also be included here, e.g. to allow new users to benefit from the experience of those who have already completed a "learning curve". The aim here is also to share experiences and, of course, to ensure efficient, sustainable operation.
Other interested parties from the animal husbandry sector are most welcome
The working group "lives" through the interdisciplinary cooperation of all stakeholders in the field of scientific laboratory animal husbandry. It is particularly important to review the findings in practice and their applicability. The focus is on animal house managers and animal welfare officers at the respective institutes and we would be delighted if we could get you or acquaintances from your professional environment to join the KAB working group, initially as a guest. Please feel free to contact us at any time, we look forward to hearing from you.
