The AK KAB has previously dealt with the processing of rodent cages and has provided a manufacturer-neutral guide for the planning, procurement and operation of processing systems and components in form of the orange-colored brochure.
As aquatic species have been used in research for many years and different requirements need to be considered different from rodent husbandry, especially when preparing the husbandry systems, these have been summarized in the turquoise brochure.
In addition to the general aspects described in the orange-colored brochure, the focus is on the special features of the treatment of water management systems, in particular systems that can only be treated mechanically, such as fish tanks. Furthermore, the treatment of larger holding tanks is described.
